Connectivity Restored.

Connectivity has been restored. Let me stress that the server was not “down” during this outage, it was a connectivity issue, that is to say, a network problem, not a server problem. Our data centre representative indicates that the entire data centre was down, they don’t have a cause as of yet, but do indicate that everything is working as it should be at this point.

Connectivity Loss

We’re currently investigating the cause of the loss of connectivity.

16:09: We cannot reach the server, nor can we reach our remote reboot device. We’re suffering a complete connectivity loss; we currently have calls in to the data centre.

We’re all set.

After the comedy of errors that was this drive swap we’re now back online and fully operational. If we would have been told they were going to change out the backup drive tonight we would have sent an email notifying you of the scheduled downtime, but we didn’t know until it went down.

The purpose of the backup drive change was to increase the server’s reliability during backup processing; as was indicated in previous days backup processing was not successful as it should be.

Update on Major Issue

The issue is nearly resolved, there was an error and miscommunication regarding the server’s backup drive.

We had asked for it to be replaced due to instability issues during the backup process, but had not scheduled a time for it to be done.
