Positive Fusion

The administrative office of Positive Fusion is directly in the path of hurricane Isabel and as such delays in response to help desk tickets or other requests may and likely will be delayed over the course of the next several days.

We just caught and stopped a DoS attack on one of the hosted websites. The attack was causing loads on the server to go upward of 80 times normal and as such slowed down response considerably. The offending IP has been blocked and load is returning to normal.

Apache outage lasted approximately six minutes according to our logs. As always, we continue with our 5 minute monitoring of services and were immediately paged upon “time out” of our test pages.

Apache just failed on Picasso, after being unable to restart through normal means we’re processing a reboot of the server, services should be back up and running momentarily.
