The webserver, picasso.positivefusion.com, has just become unavailable. We are checking with the datacentre to determine why it is not responding.

Kernel Maintenance

Thursday, 22nd April, 2004 - 03:08

This morning we will be installing a new kernel on the server. This process requires rebooting the server which will result in intermittent and relatively short periods of downtime, roughly three or four minutes –provided there are no complications (there shouldn’t be any).

Disk Usage Clarification

Wednesday, 21st April, 2004 - 17:29

If you’re noticing a large ‘jump’ in your usage, this is because the usage numbers within CPanel have not been accurate and updating as they should for apparently a rather long period of time. All accounts had their disk usage updated this morning, hence an indication that a dramatic usage increase may have occured The problem has been determined and solutions are being investigated.

Disk Usage Warnings

Wednesday, 21st April, 2004 - 07:08

There has been an intermittent and ongoing issue with disk usage checks. Quite a few accounts will have received disk usage warnings indicating that you are either near or over your limit. CPanel has not been displaying accurate information in regards to disk usage, but unless otherwise indicated by support staff any email indicating that you are over your quota is correct.

If you receive a warning from the system that your account has gone over disk usage quotas please take steps to reduce your usage, you may also, of course, upgrade your hosting plan by contacting support. We will be providing a time frame for “clean up” of accounts that are over quota.

If you’re wondering how you could be using so much space, make sure to check your email inbox and especially the spam box, as we’ve seen hundreds of megabytes being stored in the spam box in particular.

In the process of working on this particular issue you may receive multiple disk warning emails, we appologize for this, it’s just the way the system works and we’re not trying to pester you. :-)
