Verio Network Issues

Friday, 20th August, 2004 - 16:52

Some areas, if routing through Verio’s Chicago Point of Presence to the datacentre, may have experienced high latency or a complete lack of connectivity. This is due to a cooling equipment failure resulting in significant loss of backbone connectivity due to hardware over-heating issues.

All network traffic typically going through Verio’s Chicago POP was re-routed through other network backbones.
