Payments & Policy Reminders
We issue an invoices for hosting either monthly or quarterly for all accounts. Most of the time there is an automatic payment that processes the morning that invoice is issued, the payment is marked and the cycle continues on.
Occasionally there is some problem with the billing, be it with the credit card or Paypal account, that results in the payment failing. Both 2Checkout and Paypal provide notices upon this happening. Paypal will attempt to bill three times staggered a couple of days apart before canceling the payment subscription; 2Checkout behaves similarly, both companies providing notice at each payment failure.
It is the responsibility of the hosting customer to make any corrections to their billing as needed in these situations. If there is confusion as to how to update their billing information we, at support, will be perfectly willing to help to the best of our ability. It is important to note that we are not given precise information as to why the payment is failing, only that it is.
Positive Fusion provides ten days between the invoicing date, the same date that automatic payments would process, and when we consider the account delinquent. On the tenth day an invoice reminder is sent to the email address on file. This reminder provides a warning that the hosting account is pending suspension if payment is not made.
If by the next day, 11 days after invoicing, we still have not received payment or the customer has otherwise not contacted us, we will put the account into suspension. This suspension disables all services. We will not, under ordinary circumstances, remove that suspension until the past due balance has been paid.
We do not send a third email indicating that the suspension has occurred, we feel that doing so would be redundant, as the invoice reminder indicates that the hosting account will be suspended.
If for any reason the account remains unpaid for one month past the initial unpaid invoice the hosting account will be considered abandoned and thus be terminated.
If a customer plans on threatening, harassing, or otherwise defaming anyone related to Positive Fusion, it would be advisable to have fully archived their website in advance of doing so. If the customer would happen to begin making threats of physical violence against the owner of the hosting company the hosting account will be terminated. This is treated as a violation of both the Terms of Service and Acceptable Use policies and will not be tolerated.
It is the responsibility of the customer to always have a viable backup copy of their website content. Facilities for backup are provided within the control panel. Upon termination of hosting we are not responsible for delivering, in any manner, the content in which we formerly hosted.
The above policies apply to everyone with a hosting account at Positive Fusion. We will on some occasion make exceptions to the rule, as any good company would; however, the amount we will bend is very directly related to how we’re treated.
