Service Restored

Wednesday, 26th September, 2007 - 15:03

Service was restored at 2:47 PM EDT. Estimated downtime is twenty minutes.

The data center seems to be believe this outage was due to a temporary power loss, which doesn’t make a whole lot of sense, but either way, we’re back. The server was rebooted in the process, but ultimately this act may have been unnecessary.

Positive Fusion does apologize for any inconvenience this unscheduled downtime has caused.

Server load may run a bit hot due to the surge in activity following an incident such as this.

Wednesday, 26th September, 2007 - 14:43

We are still investigating the cause of this period of unscheduled downtime. Contact was abruptly lost with the server at approximately 2:20 PM EDT. Attempts to power cycle the server remotely have not been successful. We have requested data center assistance.

Reboot in Progress

Wednesday, 26th September, 2007 - 14:26

We are processing a server reboot. Contact was lost with the server, suspected reason is a heavy denial of service attack, yet again.

Unfortunately this process is taking longer than expected. When additional information is available it will be provided.

We have requested assistance from the data center to resolve this issue.

Another Denial of Service attack this afternoon. It has been dealt with and load is returning to normal.

Another High Load Incident

Friday, 21st September, 2007 - 08:30

The server is handling these ‘attacks’ relatively well, but both today have been severe enough to prompt manual intervention and blocking of IP addresses.
