Our data center will be replacing a faulty router module tomorrow, Thursday December 9th. This maintenance will cause network disruption and the inability to connect to the server. The maintenance window is 1AM to 5AM EST. During that window there may be multiple disruptions, each potentially extending up to 20 minutes.
Whatever the cause of the temporary network outage “blip” it has resolved and full connectivity is again available. Due to the unknown nature of this problem, it is possible there will be a recurrence.
We are currently experiencing a loss of network connectivity. As of this moment we are unsure if it is widespread of isolated. It is possible that various other network segments were effected throughout the day.
It appears the network outage has finally been resolved. We are able to access the server without issue from here (Pennsylvania) and the monitoring service (California) is also indicating full access.
Our estimated downtime is 55 minutes.
This was a dual (distribution) router failure within the data centre.
It appears our entire subnet has been effected by a network outage. We are uncertain if this is related to the network maintenance scheduled to be performed tonight.
Current reports indicate multiple router failures within the data centre, with the possibility of network fiber damage. The data centre is working to restore network access. We have no time estimate for the repair.
2AM: We’re still waiting for resolution from the Data Centre. The entire network block 67.15.*.* is down.
